9th INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF PHYSIOLOGICAL ANTHROPOLOGY
 
On behalf of the Congress Organizing Committee, I am pleased to invite you to participate in the 9th International Congress of Physiological Anthropology to be held in Delft, the Netherlands from 22-26 August 2008. Hereby I would also like to remind that the deadline for early registration nears:  Deadline for early registration before 2 May 2008.

About the Congress

One of the aims of Physiological Anthropology is "to conduct research into humans in modern society from both a physiological and a cultural standpoint, in an effort to create a truly healthy and comfortable living environment as rapid advances in Science and Technology are having a profound effect on the human community, in terms of not only lifestyle and culture but the physiological capabilities of the human body as well" (Japan Society of Physiological Anthropology).

We should now start to pay attention to individual differences in these physiological parameters, which should be considered not as errors, but as natural variation between individuals. Therefore, we have to make efforts to study the biological characteristics that can explain these similarities and differences. To face this challenge, we have to consider factors affecting morphological and physiological polymorphisms along with the concept of the eternal triangle as discussed by Professor Paul T. Baker. So our task is to establish a methodology for Physiological Anthropology in order to meet this challenge.

The organizing committee extends a very warm welcome to you. Do join us in Delft in August 2008 where the main theme will be  "Human Diversity: design for life" 

Registration & deadlines
The deadlines for registration and submitting abstracts are as follows:

early registration: before 2 May 2008 
normal registration: before 4 July 2008 
submitting an abstract: before 30 May 2008 
All congress delegates and invited speakers must register and pay in advance of the congress.

Registration fees on or before 2 May 2008
Delegates: 450 Euro 
Accompanying Guests: 200 Euro 
Students/Trainees: 200 Euro
Registration fees after 2 May 2008
Delegates: 550  Euro 
Accompanying Guests: 250 Euro 
Students/Trainees: 250 Euro
